Mcgill University and magnesium

Posted by Ron Jones on October 21, 2003, at 18:29:55

Prior to ww II magnesium was used to treat manic depression.Mcgill University, which is in canada, has a big study that says it works better than lithium with no side effects.800 milograms a day .200 milograms 4x a day.Magnesium is the co enzyme for the inositol monophoshate enzyme that has been found to be defective in manic depression.Dr. Bruce Ames says the use of a large dose of the co enzyme can correct a defective enzyme.

I sent an E mail to the Dr. who did the study and he gave me a med journal.Look up the University on the web and write them.A man in Texas ,George Eby ,swears it works.Look at Pub Med.com. They have resarch from all over the world. The inositol monophoshate enzyme was found to be defective on chromosone 18.Research in Norway found this and at NIH.Dr York at Duke University found that lithium inhibits this enzyme and others.I do not know how to talk to these DR.s. They are very nutty .
