Peak Performance

I just came across this message board, and have been digesting all the information that has been posted regarding alternative therapies for depression. It has been so incredibly helpful to me to at least read that others are trying to figure out as well what combinations of vitamins/minerals/herbs may help combat depression.

Here's my question. I have PMDD, so my depression is very cyclical. I have been slowly working toward a healthy diet (cutting out sugars, red meat, chicken, so far), and adding vitamins, minerals, herbs as I have read about their healing properties. I have tried to avoid taking anti-depressants, although my physician's office prescribed Zoloft (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off) during one of my desperate stages, and I tried it, but had *horrific* side effects. I have taken Trim Right Peak Performance, which is an "herbal supplement" containing ephedrine and caffeine (of which I am well aware of the negative aspects). I am looking for something that may help me during the 7-10 days/month that I really feel lousy, and this last week, I tried Peak Performance again, and had incredible success with feeling good. Any opinions or suggestions on Peak Performance? Also, what about mixing this type of supplement with SJW/5-htp (which I am currently taking)?
