Does anyone or has anyone used Inositol for their anxiety and depression?

I've tried it, but realize now that my trial was probably in not nearly a high enough dose. Studies I've read of used 12-18 grams. I think I only tried 6. I don't recall an appreciable difference in how I felt at that lower dose.
Are you considering it? If you try it, be sure to let us know.
Info I copied says not to take without doc's advice if bipolar.

i tried it for at least a couple months-- can't remember exactly how long though. i averaged about 14mg/day, give or take a couple mg here and there, cuz it's a bit tough to dose accurately.
Before i got it, i was kind of hopeful/excited cuz i read a # of good research articles on it. Unfortunately, the only thing i ever noticed was BAD freaking gas and diarrhea. Big disappointment for me.
This is the end of the thread.
