'Untrusted connection' message on medication board

Posted by Tomatheus on July 3, 2014, at 16:00:41

I've been getting an "untrusted connection" message from my browser when trying to visit the Psycho-Babble medication board. This only happens on the medication board, and not elsewhere on Psycho-Babble. Is anybody else getting this problem? Can this be fixed, assuming that others are getting the problem?

Your computer says untrusted on med board? Is this what you see. I've not ever seen messages like that. I do on google sites. But I have been getting strange emails. People I know with links to click on. Of course I delete them. Phillipa

Hi Phillipa,

Yeah, I've been getting the "untrusted connection" message every time I've tried to access the medication board on Firefox. I just tried accessing the medication board using Internet Explorer, and it worked, so given the fact that the medication board works for me with Explorer and that nobody else seems to be having problems with the medication board, my guess is that it's a problem with my browser.

Here's the message that I get on Firefox:

"This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.dr-bob.org, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue."

Is that with a URL with "https" in it? If so, try it with just "http".

Hi Dr. Bob,

For some reason, Firefox seems to direct me to "https://www.dr-bob.org/babble/" when I just type "http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/" into the browser. Internet Explorer, however, doesn't seem to do this for me, and the medication board works fine on that browser. Maybe I'll see if clearing my cache on Firefox or reinstalling the program might work. I've scanned my computer for viruses, and it says that no threat was found.

Clearing the cache in Firefox seems to have fixed the problem. Thank you, Dr. Bob and Phillipa, for your replies to this thread.
