I want to wish everyone here a Merry Christmas. So many people have helped me over the years and I dearly miss those who are no longer here.
But this day I hope for everyone peace, but even more so, happiness.We disagree a lot here but we all deal with very serious issues and feel strongly about them.
I haven't been myself, here or anywhere else and for the last 3 days have been rapid cycling. Today is weeping, yesterday I felt great. I don't purposely hurt people here but I just get frustrated with myself. For many years I was probably one of the most easy going people on this forum but the battle has intensified.
I hope this post isn't moved because I'm addressing this board.
Even though I don't know as many people here please believe this. I hold love and hope for every person here.
May we find our way. Let us be strong when we can and try to forgive and love ourselves when we can't.
Merry Christmas to my allies in this battle.

I miss a great many people, too. I will say that your presence in these forums is a positive contribution. I am particularly impressed by your efforts to remain objective in your approach to issues without becoming cynical.

Ouch. That must be frustrating.

Perhaps you expect from yourself more than you would from anyone else who would find themselves in your situation. I am guilty of this sort of thing. It really does make life more difficult to operate that way. Since I really don't know what you are frustrated with, I don't know whether or not you are beating up on yourself. Depression can ruin one's self-esteem, regardless of how "strong" they may be. It is a full-time job to keep it intact when one is in the midst of depression.
I know this sounds trite, but I really mean it: I am glad that you are you. You are missed when you are absent.
