Is this still a valid guideline? It is still listed in the information.

We've all been wrong before and no doubt will be again. Don't sweat it. I think *I* could use two heads and don't do the cliff thing and links are fine just do a check of them first. :)

But mebbe don't believe me. I'm just a poster ;)

Jan, it's been a rough couple of weeks in the posting department. I think it's the holiday season and all the stress it brings. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and please enjoy the New Year. Hey, let me know if you can sprout 2 heads, I could use an extra brain :-) Take care,

Guideline

Please don't use this site to exchange information that could be used to import into the US:

prescription medication without a prescription or
medication that hasn't been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.

The site listed and the import itself is legal,i am confused as to why this is forbidden.

If the site mentioned any drug that is scheldued in the u.s,a narcotic,a irreputable site then id totaly agree, but the site in question has been established for i know at least 2 decades and in time time transporting medication and supplemtns to the u.s legaly.

I dont understand why they must be fda approved. But a guideline is a guidline and they should regardless be followed,i ask this next question becuase id like to know who is who,are you a new official site moderator or just a concerned poster?

I'm concerned poster and poster a tired of what I see here in terms of following the guidelines. I have no problem with people discussing any meds here. The link goes passed discussing.

Per the guide line, if someone can give me evidence that this drug is FDA approved and a script can be written and filled in the US, I will gladly apologize.

The guideline is there, longstanding and agreed upon with registering. It applies to all posters -whether one posts frequently or infrequently.

Do you believe me to be incorrect?

Here is the guideline from FAQs:

How can I get medication without a prescription?

Please don't use this site to exchange information that could be used to import into the US:

* prescription medication without a prescription or
* medication that hasn't been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.

Both activities appear to be illegal. It's fine to discuss here the pros and cons of the medications, just not how to obtain them in those ways. In fact, please don't use this site to facilitate any illegal activities.

I was unaware of it myself.

This med has been discussed before here see inaminate peanuts thread to previous discussion. Find it interesting the med. Who is importing it? I'm not for sure. Still on luvox and benzos forever it seems. And the bioidentical hormones got a docs script here and not fda approved how it that different? Where did importing come from? Phillipa

How is it that the hormones that are compounded I have a prescription for from an antiaging ob-gyn doc here are not FDA approved. I pay out of pocket as insurance doesn't cover. Cream contains, estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. Not biest or triest. Comes in syringe I measure the doc's prescribed doseage based on my hormone lab testing? Phillipa.

What i believe doesent really matter,if i belived that ignoring medications that can save your life simply becuase they arent FDA approved is a sad thing,or that opening a door to a profoundly depressed person believing they exhausted all options and from that giving them something they were in dier need for, hope and options,
is of no importance, guidelines are stated and personaly i will follow them,i am sad it is this way,and prob sadder that babblers might not know there are other boards to visit where they can discuss these matters.

So again in short,no guidelines have to relevance to right or wrong,it is something u agree to which i do.

P.S I never gave the site btw, just to state that.

I meant if you thought I was incorrect in my interpting the guideline. My concern has nothing to do with discussions of any hosts of drugs. It has to do with posting information for purchasing and obtaining.

Discussions are fine.

< And the bioidentical hormones got a docs script here and not fda approved how it that different?

Are you posting information here as to where to order them to have them imported directly to an individual?

My reason for posting the guideline is not about the philosophical fairness or unfairness of what the FDA approves. It is about giving information of how to obtain/purchase which is what the link contains. This is about the guidelines of THIS forum and nothing else.

Even frequently posting people can overstep a guideline from time to time. :0

Hmm well if you wanna know seemed to me that everyone seemed to be excitied about new options, the thread seemed to be very high spirited, with that personaly i would not want to be the one to enforce the rule at a time when such discussions are causing high spirits and intelligent posters are invovled who i believe have the ability to maintain safety responses to the discussion.Bascaily if i werent a moderator i personaly would not at all want to be a poster who finds a problem with a thread producing such a robust excitment.

So i agree of course guidelines should be followed, personaly i dont agree it is any of our responsability or duty to project these guidelines but instead that of moderators and dr bob.

No one will get blocked for not enforcing or reminding of these guidelines,to do so would be a personal choice as a poster to post it the same as any other post.

You stated once the reminder, you now have the option to email dr bob, however to continue to enforce this when you are not a moderator but a poster i feel is a form of harrasment.

Whether or not a poster sticks to guidelines is not of your concern, all you can be as a post inclined to due is

a re state the policy,as u did

b email actual moderators who have ability to take action.

But to continue to post direct to posters about this is simply not validated to you as a fellow poster.

Is there purchasing info? I didn't see this when found the article is so I guess it wasn't a good article to post. I just read the info on the med and it seemed like a good one for those prone to either fatigue or agitation on one. I tend to focus on on the info. Will look later for purchasing???? Phillipa

Despite how it has been preceived, I was trying to be helpful - not harrassing or mean or busybodying or over-stepping or whatever others may have seen. The forums have largely become self-regulated. We have been encouraged to be helpful in TOS areas and this particular point may be something we all need to be mindful of when posting links. I felt misunderstood. It was never my intention to discourage or halt the discussion.

I appreciate your acknowledgement and your previous post. I really do.

Don't sweat it or dwell or get torn up about it. I've done things against the TOS too - many places. Sh*t happens. :)
