DR) BOB DO NOT SHARE ANYTHING I POST

Posted by ColoradoSnowflake on October 27, 2009, at 1:18:56

Dr. Bob
Do not share anything I post whether it be Twitter or Facebook or anything/anyone else.

This is a total betrayal of my understanding of your Privacy (?) Policy when I signed up for this Board.

What are you thinking?????

My understanding is that Dr. Bob is not sharing anything personally. He's inviting anyone who reads your posts to share it.

Example of a twitter page:

got up this morning and showered
10:02

had breakfast, then spoke to XXX on the phone for 20mins
11:15

found this post on Psycho Bable
For me a resounding YES for DA's, Requip/Repreve (Ropinirole) was fantastic for concentration, etc...., tick every box for me and it was amazing for depression too! I had the unfortunate side effect of vomiting though, which I put up with for 3 month because I felt so good, but I had to stop. I was losing too much weight. It was prescribed to me for RLS but it's properties went above and beyond the call of that.

Big no for AP's, they make me feel terrible, to the point where I have no idea what day it is sometimes. C

So is this how it will appear on twitter pages?

OK now this can go 1 of 3 ways when their friends read it, wow, those people are not in a good way, read it and move on or lets start some trouble and mess with their heads. I'm just trying to understand, that if this is the case. Why on earth would anyone do this, facebook would be even worse. PRIVACY BREACH MUCH. There might be a small amount of people who glean knowledge from babble and join, the rest will end in tears.

well, it could look a lot like that, sure. Probably a person would just post a tinyurl, though, if their goal is to get their followers to go to the site (Babble) to read - a Tweet can only be 140 characters long. But who knows what portions of a post another person might find/amusing/weird/bullying-worth/nice-to-make-fun-of...or whatever - I can edit Tweets any way I wish before I Twitter them...

I can't imagine who would bother, but as Dinah and others have posted so eloquently above, that's not even the point (for me anyway).

'course we are all just apparently suffering from anxiety, which is driving ALL our comments anyway - not *real* views, feelings or opinions - -just blind fear. Or so I heard. Bah on the whole thing.

Sorry I'm not Dinah, but I just felt like responding...

that's exactly the kind of information I wanted to know. I appreciate your reply and if you could explain any further I'd greatly appreciate that too. Peace C

You're welcome.

I don't know anything further, I don't think. I have used Twitter a little, months ago, then grew tired of it. I have 17 Tweets, all totally dull and pointless. I now follow my church's pastor's Twitter account because he posts great and interesting links and also funny comments about his life, the church, or scripture that means something to him that day. That I do like.

I don't have friends or family who Twitter, so it seems not really good for me right now - the point is to stay in touch and answer the ?? : "What are you doing?" When I did use it, I was talking to myself. At least that's how it started out. Now, seems every entity, concept, place, person, celebrity, animal, vegetable, mineral and idea has its own Twitter account!! Far too much info overload for me. Gaining random followers doesn't interest or mean anything to me, and seems creepy as well (TO ME.)

Other than that, I don't know much of anything.
