I miss you Dr. Bob

Dr. Bob I miss you. ((((((Dr. Bob)))))) I wish you would chat sometimes. :-(

I think it's time for a different picture Dr. Bob, how about the one I made with the flower sticking out of your hair? lol

Sigh. I hope Babble isn't dying. I'm sad.

I think maybe we could at least *guess* after all these days that the person who submitted the pic (or maybe it is Dr. Bob's), does not want to identify the child.

At least that's what I think. And that's fine.

Why then would someone want to post it for the whole of google? That I don't understand. Phillipa

Thanks, zen. I didn't know Dr. Bob was linking from there. He has not always done that, even in the recent past when I sent him a pic he used.

Had a feeling seriously it was Karen Kay's Son thanks for solving the mystery. Do appreciate that and thanks for letting us know of this feature. Love Phillipa

Dr. Bob, I was scared today because I had to be around a bunch of people and my social anxiety was acting up. Anyways, I thought of you a lot to comfort myself.

(((((((((((Dr. Bob)))))))))))))))

I like welcoming newbies. I feel like I'm working with you on a team to greet newbies. It makes me feel like I am interacting with you and makes me happy. :-)

You're doing a great job, thanks!

Would anybody else like to join the team?

I don't know how comfortable I'd be welcoming people on Meds, for example, because I don't know how much I'd have to offer. But I try to watch for people on Social and Psychology, and if I remembered, I'd check the smaller boards as well.

Hello Dr. Bob,

You don't need to post my picture if you have another one lined up. I'll be sticking around here for years so there will be plenty of time to post it up again. :-)

I would love to see a picture of you though. :-)

I don't know much about meds either Dinah. I think just acknowledging people, offering hope and encouragement or just a simple welcome is good.

I know if I were a newbie, I'd be refreshing again and again right after I posted to see if anyone has responded and I'd be happy to see I am not invisible, even if my main question has not been answered.

Ah, but I've read your welcomes and they are very nice. You know enough about medications to say something useful, in addition to welcoming them and suggesting alternate boards to post if appropriate.

I guess I am more socially anxious than might be apparent. While I at times respond to someone in welcome, particularly if they haven't got any other responses, it takes me a while to think on what to say and to try to come up with something appropriate. I think I'd be a bit intimidated to do that with a medication question, particularly with medications I've never even heard of or have heard of only in passing.

I feel rather anxious at the thought.

Don't feel you need to come up with so much, and you might feel less anxious?

Easier said than done, Dr. Bob.

You might have noticed that if I'm not precisely a perfectionist, I still expect a lot from myself.

That being said, I have been watching the tweets as much as I remember to do so. I'm not signed up for Twitter so I have to go the website.

I would be happy to be more welcoming where I feel I can be, if I knew that there were newbies. Particularly on the smaller boards, where people are almost guaranteed to be overlooked - at least for a while.

I'm a bit confused about the Twitter stuff. Is it supposed to go to the Babble twitter or the Dr. Bob twitter? Is there any way to get those notifications bounced to me without signing up as your follower? Which I concede I'd rather not do.

Then maybe just ask for notifications of follow-ups to the new poster thread or subscribe to psycho-babble-greeters? Thanks!

Well, it's tempting Dr. Bob.

But I suspect you don't really want me talking to newbies right now, and I'll pay you the respect of not doing so until I feel differently.
