For crying out loud.......Yeah it my be a bit bawdy, but it made me laugh....something I don't do nearly enough. Should there be a trigger warning..."Caution!! This post might make you giggle in a sixth grade sort of way...God forbid!" It's obvious that there are a couple of Babblers here who enjoy posting what some might call offensive humor...SO DONT READ THEM if it bothers you. There are others reading here that get a much needed chuckle out of it. Geez...even with all the positive impact Babble can have, I am for the first time in over 7 years of Babbling seriously considering washing my hands of this place. The atmosphere of arbitrary censorship is really starting to offend *my* sensibilities....so maybe I should take my own advice and not read any more of this "civil" (oppressive) rhetoric.

Peace Out

Manic666 and you're a kind loving person. To joke is to release positive endorphins I think not sure. I guess in different countries words mean different things. I like your jokes. Love Phillipa

It's hard to draw the line, one person might laugh at and another might feel offended by the same joke. This time, the language was "usually vulgar", so it was clearly over the Babble line, but in other cases a bawdiness trigger might in fact be helpful.

I'm sorry if I upset you, that wasn't my intent. Neither did I intend to imply that you wanted to hurt anyone. Laughter can be good medicine, just watch the dose. :-)

~~~ I'm curious as to if that line is hard to draw if another minority or group was the punch line or the primary humour to the joke... even if the terms were not spelled out?
Would that be acceptable?
If I unknowingly said something that could offend somebody, I'd like to know about it. Personally I wasn't bothered by it, but in my neck of the woods that word can be considered quite offensive. I think its better that Bob let manic know rather than the alternative, which would be to wait for a bunch of pissed off chics to jump all over manic while he's sitting there going WTF?
Just my opinion.
I feel Manic has tamed them down. He is a good person with a sense of humor altough he himself stated he is not well either. Love Phillipa ps and still believe different words mean different things in different countries.
