But I'm sorry, I am having fun at the doc's expence, and if I make him even the tiniest bit pissed off then the better for me. I was 'conned' into thinking this BOARD was helpfull. NO. The people can be helpfull, but the whole site is trash, IMO of course.
So I'll carry on untill I'm banned. If I can be half *ss*d to post that is.

I absolutely disagree based on what I've read in the last day. Certainly I might have missed reading something extraordinary, of course. But in the last 24 hours, I've not felt moved to hand out any awards for displays of extraordinary imagination. I'd say that what I've read, rather, has been of the ordinary, everyday type with no one poster "beating out" any other in imagination.

I was about 12 or so.
A bunch of us 'kids' (part of that definition is immature) went skating on the creek in winter. When we reached the pond, for some inexplicable reason, we decided to have a swearing contest.
We all pitched in with all the 'bad' words we could think of.
Kinda pathetic eh wot??
Yup, this & other similar posts with 'bad' words in them kinda reminded me of that very immature, childish event I was involved in when I was about 12. We were quite immature & I think it made us feel important & sorta 'cool' (although that word had a different meaning way back then). It probably relected that we probably didn't yet feel we had a 'place' in the world. We probably felt we needed to impress each other.
The thing about THAT event (unlike these ones) was that we were all involved & we were (blush) probably all impressed with each other's worldliness, 'coolness' & above all, naughtiness!
Oh well.

I just had to put a couple of my cents in here.
I have no idea what kind of situation might have precipitated this hostility. Maybe some anger is justified (almost certainly not this form & expression & severity of anger, though); maybe not. And i'm sure i probably would not/ do not agree with all of Dr. Bob's views and decisions regarding this board and certain administrative aspects, such as what constitutes civility and anti-civility and the consequences of the latter. I don't even know if i would like him (the odds are stacked against him considering he's a psychiatrist-- hahhah) (though i'd like to hope i would).
Nevertheless, PsychoBabble is run by Dr. Bob. Also, there are a LOT of posts (i.e., probably requires a good deal of oversight), he seems to try his reasonable best, and it is an entirely voluntary agreement. ... But, most importantly, this board is extremely beneficial to many many people (even if i, at times, have questioned how detrimental are its addictive and time-obliterating properties, at least for me [ :?) ]). I have learned [and been helped, and hindered] so much from PsychoBabble it is ridiculous. I think overall it has been extremely beneficial for me though-- and again it certainly has for many people. And it would not be here if it wasn't for Dr. Bob. This might be sounding really cheesy right now, but everything i'm saying is true. Yes, it's ultimately a project equating to some semi-longitudinal study about-- well whatever it's exactly about-- and he might not even give a rat's behind about us (though i doubt that-- i think he probably does, at least on some level, reasonably speaking). But the bottom line is, this great board/site that is PsychoBabble/ "dr-bob.org" would not exist if it wasn't for Dr. Bob. Therefore, it does not really make sense to attack him in any fashion close to this, at least or particularly not on this board.Wow i did not intend on writing that much at all. Hopefully it has sOme kind of value.

Probably because it seems the whole point of the post is to express criticism/commentary/description (or some other more appropriate word) about Dr. Bob - personally - (I guess) and he is the Administrator here......so......

my guess is that this is related to bob saying that he gets his feelings hurt too. maybe this is an example. Perhaps he is going to start a collection? open a e-museum of sorts? perhaps a special new board? that would be kinda fun actually - top 10 insults, etc.

It is upsetting to see such anger.
My chest hurts. I am nauseaous.

I posted earlier in the thread about this, but due to technical problems on my own computer I was unable to do it as "Deputy Dinah".
This is an old thread, and any administrative action was taken on it back when it was originally posted. Apparently Dr. Bob was glancing through the archives and thought the thread should be redirected to Admin from the Medication board where it was originally posted. If you look up at the top of the post, you'll see that it was originally posted in March, and was recently reposted here.
I hope that when Dr. Bob reposts things of this nature in the future that he adds a note of explanation so that people aren't distressed more than necessary. We recently made this a policy in similar circumstances, and I think this is a logical extension of that policy.
