So Sad

Posted by rskontos on March 20, 2008, at 12:21:04

That this board which used to only get the occasional traffic is now the board with the most traffic and all the other boards are SLOW. It really saddens me. I posted my first thread on the psycho board in a long time and I hope it gets posts. If not I am not sure what to do. I know I have posted and sometimes don't get a reply so I think Babblers are hurting. Or I have lost my touch. In any case, I am beginning to feel invisible. I think this absence of Bob's has definitely hurt Babble. I hope he knows what he is doing. I posted something very intimate and this is going out on a limb for me. Ssomeone, I think Twinleaf pointed out that something does seem to have changed. Is is so sad......

RSK,
Don't worry. You aren't invisible and you haven't lost your touch. You are very well thought of here at Babble and I am sure you will get plenty of responses to your post. HUGS Hmmmm.....Its been said, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." I wonder.............

Perhaps a particular person is scaring/discouraging people from posting over there. She/he post, post, POST in every thread he/she can find, sitting behind his/her screen all day long. This wouldn't be a problem if she/he actually had anything useful to say. 9/10 of his/her post are empty, nonsence, (semi) off-topic or thread-hijacking!! It's like he/she is doing it intentionally to harm the forum.
I don't believe he/she does it on purpose. It's either the medication he/she takes or his/her psychiatric condition. I do thing that someone must do something about it. I don't know what though, as i also do understand that this is a delicate situation.

Don't ask me about her/his name. Last time someone spoke in a completely civilized manner about him/her, was banned for a week. I think i'll pass, although it might be too late after this post. :)

Please don't post anything which could lead anyone to feel accused or put down, and please don't post anything which characterizes the value of anyone's posts.

This site is aimed at having posters provide support and/or education to one another. That goal may take different forms for different people, and that diversity provides a great deal of value to the community as a whole. I do not believe that you were intending to hurt anyone's feelings, and I hope you will accept this reminder of the civility guidelines of this site as just that -- a gentle reminder of the policies of this site.

If you have any questions regarding the posting policies on this site, please read the FAQ, located at http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil Follow ups to this action should be directed to the Administration board and should themselves be civil.

Dr Bob has ultimate authority over all administrative issues on this site, and may choose at any time to revise or reverse any action taken by a deputy.

I know a few have expressed concern on admin and said they were posting on other sites. Is Bob back? That would be great!!!!! Phillipa ps or some posted they had formed their own groups. I was once asked to join a group of babblers but didn't go. People are lovely here.
