Unless I missed a rule change myself, they can read but not reply. So you would have to be willing to send her a regular email address to use if you wanted 2-way communication during a block.
Her name is not in blue, so to the best of my understanding, she has turned Babblemail off.

You're right, it looks like HF turned Babblemail off. It was still on the day she was blocked, though. I tried to babblemail her then and got the same error message (something about email? I forget) I always do when I try to send babblemail to blocked folks.

Ahhh...I see. I was going to test it myself, but now it's off, I can't...but you already did...so....we need Dr. Bob to work on that again, or some more, it seems.

That should be fixed now. So they shouldn't even have to update their registration.
