I just changed from Safari to Firefox as my browser, and now I can't log in to Chat.
I tried to "register" for chat, but my username was already found - duh!
So I tried re-registering for babble but that didn't help either.Any suggestions?
Thanks

I just went into Chat using Internet Explorer. It was SOOOOOOO slow. I met a nice Babbler there, and it was slow for them, too. Is everything OK with the server?

Got me - I don't have any insider information as to what the problem is. I hope it's resolved soon, for all our sakes.

I use firefox for chat (although I'm not a frequent user of the feature), and it's been fine for me.

Works fine for me, too, with Firefox. Weird.

Sorry about not having been around more. Does it still not work? What happens when you try?

When I attempt to log in to chat, I get the message the the User is not found. When I retry, I get the same message. When I register (as ClearSkies) I get the message that the Username already exists.I'm not sure what else to try.
thanks,

That's a not a Firebox thing, CS, it's happened to me and others from time to time, regardless of browsers.
Once or twice, I got it to work by me repeatedly trying to log in...like 7, 8 times.

I suspect that if I change my posting name and then register for chat (like it's for the first time with my posting name), that maybe that will work. I don't really want to go through that rigamorole.

I don't blame you, I wouldn't either.
Hope Dr. Bob can get it fixed.

So it wasn't those server problems... Hmm, one of the files may have been messed up, try it again now? Thanks for your patience,

No, still not working. Could it be the password? Does the chat function automatically fill that in? At one point when I was trying, I typed in my own password again. It didn't work, unfortunately. Thanks, Dr Bob

I don't have Firefox, but I can't sign into chat either. It doesn't like my password. I've quit trying.

I do ok with Babble and Firefox, but there are some other sites that I can't use Firefox with, and I just use IE for those sites. Is that a possibility?

Sorry, I think it was a bug in the program. Try it again now? I don't think it automatically fills that in, no.

You're welcome, thanks for your patience. It's possible people might not need to keep re-registering now, too... Let me know whether that keeps happening...

I had to register every single time I entered chat yesterday. At least three times.
