Dr. Bob, do you have favourites?

Posted by Deneb on December 11, 2006, at 17:44:04

The poster Dr. Bob Watch got me thinking about it. How come some people get more PBCs before blocks than others?

I don't get it.

When I first came here I got a PBC pretty much right away, then I got a block. Then I got another PBC, then I got 3 consecutive blocks. Since then I have accumulated 3 PBCs. How come I haven't had a block yet? Why is it so unpredictable?

I hate being blocked and I'm glad I wasn't blocked, but I would rather you not have favourites.

I urge you to really look within yourself to see if you have favourites.

Deneb, Dr. Bob is human.
I do get the sense that he is trying to block less.
(Good for you Bob)
I fully agree with this.
PBC's often seem to work IMO.
And if it works, then why block?
Blocks should only be if a poster refuses DESPITE pbc etc, to try and toe the line.
Thast how I see it.
I am TRYING to understand the motivations here.....
I am perplexed I must say.
I should go away from admin, shouldn't be here.
Just wanto stop the hurt.
But I can't.
Get too freaked.
Take care Deneb.

That's disappointing. I was just beginning to think he was human.

Sorry about the sarcasm, Dinah, I just reacted to the way you seemed to post with such absolute surety. At dinner (correct me if I'm wrong, others) he said something to the effect that it is difficult to sanction posters who are so popular. I think this was in response to a comment I made that he seemed to tolerate an inordinate amount of personal attacks from one creative and admired poster years ago.

i'm not sure it would matter anyways.

Hello to you and you beer drinkin' buddy. I'm OK, stressed at work and the kids are home from college for the holidays, so I'm putting my medicine to the test. Have a Merry Chistmas or whatever you celebrate. And remember, let's keep it administrative here.

I'm trying my best to keep it administrative here. just don't really give a damn, though. I think I will be celebrating my birthday this year instead of Jesus's birthday. I have a little sparkling disco "tree" nonetheless. I'm one of those kids who's going home for the holidays. I'm putting my medicine to the test too.

cheers,

Yes, I suppose everything boils down to one's perspective. From here, I hope that you feel the Llove when you are with the rest of the Blossom family. (Administering good wishes, Bob).

i would have to say, with much certainty, that i, karen kay, am mr bob's favorite. now, you can try to ask him, but he pinky-swore me that he would nover, ever, EVER disclose this information to anyone other than myself. sorry, not trying to hurt all done (as she makes it fairly obvious that she believes she is his favorite! HA!), but she's a tough chick and needs a healthy dose of reality. (but deneb, he did mention to me once that he's very fond of you as well.)
