I understand and likely agree with not wanting to perpetuate pain. But I do wonder if you or someone else reported the post[s] at the time? Is it a case of someone deciding it was civil or rather that no one acted on it in a timely manner?
Thanks,

But just to clarify...do you know if it was reported? That's really the only sure way that I know of to make sure that something will get looked at by admin. I don't assume that every post is read by someone on admin, especially since we don't coordinate who reads what, and there is no expectation for any of us to read them all.

Why is there no coordination?

I don't know. It hasn't seemed necessary until recently. Now unless it's specifically stated, I find it hard to know if Dr. Bob or others have read a thread and decided it was okay or have not read it and thus no action .
And I find that a difficult condition to "work" with.

?? I have no way of knowing if it was reported or not - how would I know whether it had been or not?
*I* did not report it and boy do I wish I had. The thread was already cold by the time I saw it.

And that's fine. Dr. Bob knows that reasonable people differ. Or sometimes I might feel too involved in the thread to be objective. I certainly will never be offended if you act on a thread where I didn't.
Dr. Bob is a different matter, of course.

The thread was already cold by the time I saw it.I guess that's what I was asking, because unless someone told you, you reported it, or you saw a post about it, you're right. How could you know? I didn't mean to sound pointed towards you. I just wanted to know if it had been brought to anyone's attention.
It would be really awesome to have that "report post" button up and running.
