i've looked but i can't find it...

Posted by alexandra_k on October 3, 2005, at 0:26:34

a while ago dr bob posted something to admin...
a quote from a book or something...
on the purpose of group
(but it was written for group therapy with schizophrenia or something like that)
i've looked but i can't find it...
can anybody else find the link?

ta.

i wanted it to include as part of a post to someone...

just a thought...

but it could be really handy to compile those kinds of things so there are some links on what dr. bob sort of considers the purpose / function of the site to be (incl. his role and the role of the posters here)

because more has been said than appear in the faq
(not that i've read the faq lately i will admit...)

Sorry, I don't recall the book, so I wouldn't know where to start looking.

Dinah had posted a link to a book about something similar I think. Don't know if this is what you were looking for, but here's the link:

:-)
I think that was the book.

I was looking for the post where the book was first mentioned. I think it was just before that thread... Which archive did you find all it in?

(I can't quite get the hang of where to find stuff)

Ta.

lol. actually, i'm not sure that that is it...

there was something about massification and aggregation (but that was from an article)...

then i think Dinah mentioned that book...

then i think there was something about another doc (from U. Chicago I think) who was writing about a process group he was doing with people with schizophrenia. and dr bob quoted some stuff out of that with respect to the role of the moderator.

ringing any bells for anyone???

there was something about a rock...

(sometimes my time scheme gets a bit out of kilter...)

but its the post (rather than the book) that i'm looking for...

Wow, that's gobbledygook to me too!

I couldn't help but laugh out loud after reading words like "crustacean" and "amoeboid" being used to describe different types of leaders.

The paper seems excessively wordy, no? Good golly, I'm glad I'm not studying psychology!

Sorry, back to admin... :-)

ROFL!

Na, thats not it either.
Though by now we probably have just about everything but ;-)

Thanks for trying.

I think...

Its somewhere between there and the present.
I've looked and I've looked but I just can't find it.

Maybe...

I'm imagining things...
