Apologies for adinistrative error RefugiadoDChimp

Posted by Dinah on September 9, 2005, at 5:03:43

I mistakenly blocked Brio and deleted her posts under the recollection that her block was still in effect. However my review of the archives shows that her block was not still in effect.

I don't have a list of the blocked posters and expiration dates, and was working from what I was sure was my memory of the timeline, but I was unfortunately wrong.

That was an inexcusable error, and I apologize sincerely. I will hopefully learn from my mistakes and not make that error again.

I will contact Dr. Bob and ask him to restore deleted posts as soon as he can.

And I'm also going to step aside as deputy for a few weeks, until my life is back to normal.

Now I know I'm depressed...I can't stop crying after reading your post. Please don't be so hard on yourself. You're dealing with too much right now so it's understandable you'd want to "lighten the load" by stepping out of the deputy role. Take care.

Peace...Sonya

Dinah,

To err is human. And, all the good work you do as deputy, and the compassionate support and friendship you give your friends here at Babble far outweight one error that is easily rectified.

My thoughts are with you, Dinah. What you are and have been going through is incredibly difficult, stressful and heartwrenching. Take whatever time you need, and know that your friends at Babble care a lot about you and your wellbeing and appreciate you very much.

Take good care of you.

Tamara

If you were here (or I was there) I'd give you hugs and something really fattening. Chocolate cake, cheesecake or both?

Thanks Brio

I really appreciate your graciousness. Especially under the circumstances. I've been having meltdowns and temper tantrums with alarming regularity. So I extra appreciate your response.

Thanks everyone

I do think it's better that I step aside and let gg and Mel handle things for a week or two or until I get home. Which shouldn't be horribly long, although it will undoubtedly seem horribly long.

Not only am I anxious and distracted, but my internet access is both limited in time and limited in reliability.

My husband needs it for work, and at the hours he doesn't need it, it seems everyone at the hotel is on at the same time and it keeps crashing.

Oh well. That isn't something so very serious to complain about. I hadn't even realized that hotels *had* internet access these days.

Sorry, gg and Mel, to hand it over to you so soon after you got your badges, but I know you'll do just fine.

Thanks for helping out even when you're going through so much yourself. Maybe I should make some sort of list available to you deputies... Anyway, mine shows that her block was still in effect, so I've renewed it.

Bob
