What if we had to pay to complain?

Posted by Spriggy on April 8, 2005, at 20:59:53

Dr. Bob, I don't know if you get frustrated or discouraged when you come here and read complaints, but I likely would if I were you.

We offered free breakfast at our church for a year. It included bagels, cream cheese (assorted types), fruit, assorted muffins, juices, coffee, etc..

Mind you it was free- we had people who would complain because we didn't offer eggs or bacon or whatever else they thought they had a free entitled right to.

It was so discouraging when we did something out of kindness and worked at hard at providing (and provided it for FREE) and people complained.

So Dr. Bob, I just want you to know, that I really, really appreciate this place you have provided for us. You don't require us to pay (and many sites with this much info would!), and I am sure you put more time/work/effort into this place than we could even begin to know.

So please know we appreciate it.. Please know I appreciate it.

If I were you (that would be funny wouldn't it?), I think I'd charge people to complain. LOL

lol. I like that idea. » Spriggy

Of course, I'd be happy to pay to complain. I'd go deeply in debt I'd be forking over so much money to complain. :)

Maybe dr. Bob could create like "babble bank" and we could have babble dollars. After they are used up, we can't complain for so many days.. LOL

That way Dinah, wouldn't go bankrupt. LOL

I think free breakfasts is a great idea! But just for the sake of discussion, what about offering eggs?

Maybe think of them not as complaints, but as suggestions? People here have tons of great ideas, more than I'd ever be able to come up with on my own. And even if someone's just unhappy, I think it's good for them to be able to be heard. And to get an explanation, even if they don't agree.

Thanks! :-)

See what I mean about ideas? What about for Admin in general? It might make it easier for people to stay away if they want... :-)

Dr. Bob, you are a nicer man than me...

But then again, I'm not a man to begin with. LOL

It's just a good thing you have the perspective you do or else you would've been sick of all of us by now and shut this place down.

Thank you again!

I believe Dr. Bob is what we all wish our own pdocs were. He's someone who is listening to what we have to say about all sorts of issues and quietly absorbing it all. He is truly a wonderful man. Fondly, Phillipa

It's all in the interpretation. I think it's mean. It sucks all the satisfaction out of complaining.
(I am kidding)
