don't you hate it when someone takes your ideas that you worked hard to formulate (in this case, about the workings of this site) and passes them off as their own? i sure do...this response is a little late, but it's been eating at me...and the 'plaigerism' continues. i think the offending female knows who she is. i just needed to get that off my chest. not fair or nice to take credit for someone else's ideas.

Alesta, I have no idea what you're talking about so I don't know if this applies, but my mother does that all the time, and SHE DOESN"T KNOW IT!
She'll say she has a great idea, for example, and it will be what someone else suggested the day before. And she is completely unaware, and if told about it, she freaks out because she knows it's really really weird.
But again,I sincerely do not know what you are talking about here on Babble. For all I know, I am just like my mother...

I know it's not me but yes I would hate that. That would bother me very much. Too bad you don't know where your post was with that idea it would have the date and stuff. Me, I would repost my old post but that is me :P

Well I went on a bit of a search to try to find what you were talking about because I had this nagging / sinking feeling that it might be me. Mostly because I have brought several issues to the admin board fairly recently.
Couldn't find anything - you are mentioned in over 900 posts so to be honest I just gave up.
All I can say is that trying to pass someone elses idea off as my own is not my style. If it was me, then I assure you it was inadvertant.
If there is one thing I have learned in academia it is that there is 'nothing new under the sun'. If you come up with a good idea (even if you come up with a bad one) surely someone else has come up with it or a varient over the course of human history.

I don't think you're the culprit. If you used someone else's idea, I'm sure it was inadvertent.
You run circles around most of us with your physics and philosophy. I would be happy if you used one of my ideas.
