dr. bob, i will honor the request. i do note that i take issue with fayeroe's assertion that i do not wish to be scrutinized: as you and other posters well know, i have stated my real name and contact email address with the promise of full-disclosure of my background. again, i will refrain from posting to fayeroe, but i would like to reiterate that i have been nothing short of forthcoming in re: opening the books, as it were, should any poster wish to verify my credentials. all the best, tjm

Scott,
I did pursue this issue with Chemist. It is a very impressive resume.Tho' I can't account for its veracity, he does cite a number of publications which would be easy to verify. If you have questions (and if it is ok with Chemist) I will send you the info.
Chemist, with respect to your privacy, it depends on what you want.
Thanks,
Shar

several other posters have received my CV as i had offered. the issue is whether or not i am who i claim to be. as i have stated before, in addition to my CV, i can/will send actual reprints of my journal articles to anyone who wants them. these are *not* downloaded PDFs: they are from the publisher(s). by all means, feel free to send an email to:
todd at lanczos dot cm dot utexas dot edu
or alternatively
toddm at tungsten dot ncsa dot uiuc dot edu
this is not grandstanding, rather validation of who i am. and of course, make up your own mind in re: my knowledge base. all the best, tjm

Oh, Nooooo! Quack got bumped?!?! One of my most favorite graffiti quotes comes from Quack's (when they were still on the Drag...).
Ok, the quote was "I got the drowning-in-my-own-potential blues." I later incorporated that quote into an informal class I taught; as one of the 6 'titles' of classes.
I'm glad to know they're still around! But....did they get to take their graffiti with them...??
:)

> Sharyou're referring to a spray-painted piece by none other than roky erickson (of roky erickson and the 13th floor elevators), long-time austin resident (may be with us, don't know). the art didn't make it, sadly...but quack's is alive and well on 43rd and duval, across from one of the 2 remaining fresh plus marts (the other on west lynn and 12th), and caddy-corner to mother's, which still serves a tasty veggie burger. you could opt for the fries at hyde park bar and grill, but i'll go with a mother's/quack's combo any day...and i know you've picked up the latest chron, so check out the restaurant poll....all the best, tjm
