Dear Dr. Bob

Posted by Jai Narayan on February 12, 2004, at 17:20:13

Dear Dr. Bob, I know you are busy, I know you are one of the most popular people on this site, I know we all depend on you to keep this site going, But did you know we all love you? Did you know we wouldn't be a "we" if it weren't for "you"....you and this site are so important to us.
I have been on this site for some time, not a lot compared to some but a lot for me. I have cried, laughed, been angery, felt bitter, felt a lift, watched with wonder, been confused, and yes, I have been uplifted....we are talking spiritual upliftment....and so much more that I cannot describe....you have to know I, for one, really appreciate you and this site. If there is any way to support you in this endeavor I am game. I will be there in any way I can.
I just want you to know I love this site and it's people....I have learned so much already.
this is a BIG thank you.

I've also been here a while :-) and it's been moving to see so many talented people who are, as Phil said, loving and caring despite their own troubles.

Could it be that, because we've experienced pain and need, we have a greater capacity to share the strength we've found? Maybe the unexamined life really is not worth living. Or maybe offering support to others helps us find out balance again?

Whatever it is, you have done a lot to bottle it. Thank you for providing the foundation of our little community. I'm betting you know how much it's meant to me over the years. Thank you.
