We have a title rule in my class. Titles MUST be: clever, thoughtful, connected, appropriate. A paper called, "My Barbie Doll" cannot, for instance, be about horses.
Maybe we could have a little self-imposed good titling (not a real rule, though). To some extent, Lou does this already with his Gates, which makes them easy to read or not read. Others do this too, with posts about sexual matters (like "sorta gross") and long posts ("sorry, long").
Fortunately, our names are on our posts, which means if others object to our constant religious content or our long-winded, VERBOSE speech (haha), they know to not go there. Really, it's just a matter of reading restraint.
Someone told me of a restaurant in some touristy area--I can't remember the name, but it's Dick's something or other. Guests are given a paper hat shaped like a condom, and waitresses go, "Yeah, what the hell do YOU want?" when you need something. Once in awhile, while you're eating, a server will come by and pull your hat down over your eyes. They call you names and other fun stuff, too.
Maybe we could have a rude board, where people go to battle it out. You know--I get in a fight with Phil, and before any PBCs can be issued, we "step outside" to the rude board for a quick mud wrestle.
