The squirrels that run the wheel that generates the electricity to power my dial up modem to go across trees and mountains to get to this page are simply exhausted after the time it takes to download!
It's been a while since the last archive. Any chance it'll happen soon? It really is taking a very long time to download; this isn't a problem with the other pages (PSB, PB) here.

They archive automatically when they reach a certain size Shar... think we just have to stick it out!!! (Everything on here is slow for me at the moment!!!)

As NikkiT2 said, its an automatic thing- I asked about it a few months back.
*If* you have access to a PC with faster internet access, its fine, at least in my experience. My one at home is very slow, but here at work it posts things really quickly, even when the list of messages is long.
But of course that depends on whether you have access, and maybe its only me.

Unfortunately no access to fast connection. Mine connects at about 26.4 k even tho I have a 56k modem. I live in the boonies, I think that's why so slow. No DSL out here. Can do a cable hookup but that is $50 per month that I don't have.
I knew about the automatic archiving thing, but thought it must be different with PBA because PB and PSB never seem to be as slow.
I thought maybe PBA took more data (or bytes or whatever) before it archived. Maybe was allowed to get larger than the others before archiving because it is used less often.
There is a certain admirable quality that I like to the arrogance of believing some things can't be true simply because they make no sense to me. It's only admirable because I feel so one-down in just about everything else, but it's a very bulldogesque feeling.
Thanks for the info.

Sympathies re v slow connection- people who only have a fast one dont realise what it can be like!
I'm pleased that PSB/PBA dont have loads of images/Flash etc etc which would make it slower...

That's the kind of response one gets in bureaucracies; the kind that answers the question ok, but doesn't have any human-to-human interaction.
Not complaining. I'm sure it's more efficient than you answering the same question over and over again. Just an observation. Thought you might like the input.
