Can't find my post, Dr. Bob

Posted by Cece on June 26, 2001, at 1:29:44

I can't seem to find, on P-B, a post that I made yesterday to Zo re getting Geodon at a lower price. Am I just not seeing it- I looked up and down 3 times, but sometimes I don't see what's right in front of me. I don't see her post either.

Thanks,
Cece

Hmm, do you remember what thread it was?

It was a new thread, started by Zo- unfortunately I can't remember the exact subject line, but the post was pretty short and inquired about online sources of Geodon since it's so expensive.

Thanx,
Cece

Here, probably this is the thread:

But I don't know what happened to your post. Maybe you forgot to click "confirm"? I've done that myself...

Thank you for finding the thread for me! Could I have done so easily myself with a search? When I have tried searching for things, I have often been overwhelmed by the # of items that came up to sort through.

1. The search function is never completely current, so it won't work for very recent posts.

2. In general, however, there are lots of ways to refine searches. For example, if you search just for "cece" you get 101 posts, and if you search just for "methadone", you get 56. But if you search ("with options") for "cece methadone" and click the "every term" option, you get only 6.

3. That doesn't work, however, if the poster doesn't sign their posts, because only the bodies of posts are indexed. But I'm hoping to do something about that sometime.

** Hey, would anyone out there be interested in working on that? It's in Perl...

4. Your browser's built-in search function can search particular pages. I think in this case I just used that to search the main PB page for " zo ".

Feel free to try out the above yourself. Hope this helps,

Bob
