This can cause many mental symptoms including psychosis. It is believed that 17% of the population have it. This was pointed out to me by a doctor. Unfortunately she doesnt draw blood etc. I am trying not to be too hopeful but it sounds worthwhile to check it out. I do not yet know how that is done. I have a few inexplicable physical problems too, that could be a result of MCAS

I've had problems with allergy myself, but it seems to be better now with age. Incidentally, my mental health problems are also better -- for example, the anxiety is gone.

I think it is a potential cause for allergys although I am not too sure. Tryptase was measured because of wasp allergy and it was normal. Tryptase has to do with it.
