Doctor added 25mg of Desipramine to my med cocktail about 3wks ago. Had some good days but the last three I've been sweating even with the AC cranked and a fan on me. Mood seems to have dropped today too so I think I'm going to discontinue it.
I guess I was just curious if anyone else has had incredible sweating on TCAs or particularly Desipramine?
Im also taking Marplan (since mid-Jan) and I print should have given that more time to kick in before asking for an adjunct. I think if I drop it the Marplan will work better. Just an annoying transition period for me. Mostly great but this sweating stuff is horrible. Luckily I am able to stay home all the time now.
Thanks for reading

And btw no cough, no fever, and no signs of SS.
Just crazy sweating, low appetite, and constipation. I'll miss the low appetite :/

i think you are wise to discontinue. tca drugs can be quite rough. personally, i had to drop tofranil after 1 month because of weight gain, dry mouth, and sedation. blah.
maybe drug-drug interactions are making the 25mgs dose = more, in your bloodstream? just a random thought.

Never had sweating but it is kinda energizing.
It has interactions with a bunch of SSRIs and raises their levels, something that may be related.
