I took prozac for 12 days, mostly at 20 mg, but at day 6, going as high as 60, then down to 40.
It has induced, THEE most horrendous sexual dysfunction, and made me awful and horrible.
I wasn't aware of how profound this would be, until about day 12, presumably approaching somewhat of a steady state - then I discontinued.
Now 4 days later - the after effects are still going strong.
I know washout takes weeks when steady state is reached - but given I was only on it for 12 days, roughly how long could I expect a sufficient wash ou to be?
Can anyone comment on that?

Oh... how I wish my only problems were limited to sexual dysfunction at the moment...
Anyway, I gave Prozac a try shortly after I was first put on nortriptyline (forgot the dosage). I think I had to stop the nortiptyline for 2 days, then I think I tried the Prozac for four or five days. Found it unbearable, so I believe I had to stop the Prozac for two days before I could go back on the nortriptyline. I unfortunately just realized that this probably doesn't answer your question, but I already went to the trouble of typing it out. Sorry.

usally it's 14 days, but if you where only on it for 12 days, that less than 2 weeks, Prozac's antidepressant effects take a long time to start working, longer than most other ADs, it takes about 6 weeks to start mood improvement, but yea like you said some people can't stand prozac.
I've taken it for 13 years, highest dose. When i first started it took soooo long to work, but after time i felt a warm mood. Serotonin is what kills the s-drive, so if you where only on it for 12 days, that should washout very quicker than 14 days. Maybe 6-9 days, not sure.
