If trazodone is going to work well for insomnia, it usually works at a low dose such as 25mg-50mg at night, or perhaps up to 75mg.
Although higher doses up to about 150mg at night have been used for insomnia, they may not be any more effective than low doses.
If used to treat anxiety and/or depression, the doses used are usually higher than for insomnia.

at the psych they gave me 150mg, it can go up to 600mg, but it usally used in psych's under monitering in divided doses, for depression.... they use it for depression and that's th maximum limit that's listed medically, but trazadone can feel kinda sluggish and fog thinking, its very sedating, but if oyu have anxiety it would be a good choice
