i heard clozapine is good med, they use it as a gold standard for schizophrenia (and mood issues) but the only i read on the side effects is it makes you drool while you sleep......nasty side effect yuk but everyone's diffrent

haldol (haloperidol) is definetly a gold stardard for treating schizophrenia, haldol is not for bipolar situations, because of its strength....it's strong, and can really put out the fire in the mind, they don't use it for mania....maybe they do but on google its mainly for schizophrenia maintenance......when i was in a psych they used call it crazy juice, for when people went crazy they would give them a haloperidol/lorazpeam injection to sedate them, and they slept for a long time
but still at low doses it can work wonders, but it does have the shuffling gate side effect at higher doses
