trazadone in the US is known being used for sleep, alot of rehabs and psych hospitals use it first for sleep because it's not a controlled substance, and does help sleep......
you have to takt it for a long time for it's anti depressant effects to start working, but mainly where i live they use it for sleep mainly......it's sedating and make some tired during the day even if they took it for antidepressant reasons.......i've been on it for couple years in 2005-06
it's best to take it at night.....if you take trazadone during the day it makes you tired

Oleptra is an extended release formulation of Trazadone and is used primarily to treat depression.
