What do you mean by "mildest"?

Wellbutrin has been considered the antidepressant least apt to trigger mania. However, it still happens.

prozac is a known one to cause mania......something it's like the least selective and it effects more serotonin pumps than others....or blocks the reuptake, but if you have it with a mood stablizer or a AP, it's a good combination, i take prozac and zyprexa and lamictal........but i need to get off lamictal fair square

when i started prozac in 05 at 20mg i noticed a difference on the 20mg, i was a more content mood, then when it was increased to 40mg, i had mild hypomania, yet i didnt know it but i started realizing i was a bit "too" postive about everything, unnatural ..... and then as time went by my mind kinda...regulated everything back to normal, adapted, but i still notice im not depressed like really depressed......still im on 60 right now, it's effect is not vary noticable, only realize im not vary depressed.....

yea Celexa looks like the least mania inducing, have to read some articles, but simply just adding a mood regulator, to it will stop the overflow of serotonin ... which causes SSRI induced mania

It is interesting that Celexa was the first drug that came to mind after my reading Joef's question. I have no evidence to support this, though

No one antidepressant is milder or safer in the treatment of bipolar disorder. I am assuming you mean which antidepressant is least likely to destabilize the mood of a bipolar patient.
