When I tried tianeptine I was taking 12,5mg 3 times daily as suggested and felt nothing. On youtube however there are videos from people who order tianeptine online and then say that if you take 50-200mg at once your depression lifts instantly.
i don't know if such a dose would be safe though.
but it would still be interesting to know if taking a higher dose at once really has such an effect. if it did then tianeptine could be used occassionally against depression.

yea.....i think usally in the market the use low low doses, so people won't be stupid and take a bunch of pills and have a overdose reaction.....thats why they keep the dosage small and to fit the person....
i never knew they sold it on the net.....

Tianeptine is a mu-opioid receptor agonist-same mechanism of action as opiates.

Interesting.
Do you have any thoughts on the use of buprenorphine for depressive disorders?

I think Buprenorphine can be used successfully to treat depression. Buprenorphine is the strongest kappa-receptor antagonist currently available for human use, although it is also a partial agonist at the mu receptor, and the relative importance of the activity at these sites is currently unknown.
Opiates, like endorphins create a sense of well-being and euphoria. The success of exercise in treating some forms of depression highlites the opiate systems role in the genesis of depression, I think.
