i had a couple beers to calm down today the initial euphioria is good, relief, mild euphoria but it turns to depression, things are slow and feels bad.....i don't take the lamictal in the mornings anymore...
but usally alcohol makes me depressed after the first couple hours, have no motivation energy just, like a muddy slop, but the lamotragine has an effect when i take when im in a depressed phase from alcohol, it's not only right now, but it's done this many times in the past i take it couple hours before bed, it's like this......it will pull me out of the mud slop state, but it won't let me get high in the sky excitement.......it's like a floor, and a ceiling.....it keeps you from falling but keeps your from rising out of the ceiling.....no mania, or euphoric moods
the lamictal i've noticed has taken effect, lamotragine's antidepressant properties with mood disorders are knowedgable.......it got me out of the mud slop state i was just in......but im not in euphoric good mood, it's like right in between low and high, the middle.....it will improve the mood but not like a prozac uplift......
im better for right now, i was in a horrible phase and didnt have enough energy....to do anything.......
but im taking it at night, the prozac and the nuvigil are the ones that seem resistant......

i'm on 400mg right now, and im suprised but i noticed the effect, because for a long period my body has created a resistance.....still having slow depressed feelings in the mornings, feels like it's not even working.....only praying to god to get it healed.....
but lamotragine has polerized effect, no depressed moods, but no euphoric moods......i took 400mg and thats what it did to me, pulled me out of the slop state, and into a normal stablized feeling.....the difference even though prozac hasnt worked in a long time, prozac will raise the mood, and in cases make you euphoric, or hypomania, lamotragine does nothing like that, only re polerizes the mood nuerons....thats why they use it in manic depressive states, it keeps the nueros from over excite and get really euphoric....a floor and a ceiling.....thats the only i can descibe it
just wanted to write that from the effects i noticed from pulling out of dark depression

i've noticed it now, i take the prozac in the morning, and it seems to be resistant, but the lamotragine does have an antidepressant effect, with my situation at home, i feel trapped, and nothing but doom gloom feeling, but i took it 2 hours ago......it did something to where im not bothered by heaviness of depression, it's different than an SSRI, it works like stabilizes which SSRI's and antidepressants by themselves can cause more side effects, mania, thought disturbances......lamotragine stabilizes and has a moderate antidepressant effect....the effect is is not like a prozac caffeine lift, it levelizes the nueros....not really increase serotonin, just make to where it's normal and feel normal, but not euphoria.....prozac and other antidepressants can improve mood through increase in serotonin.....lamotragine just levelizes it.....
