does anyone have asthma or any other respiratory problems and still use benzos....and if so which one ...thanks

I have asthma and use Klonopin. It doesn't effect my asthma.
I also use Trileptal and it does make my asthma worse. Makes me use my inhaler more.
Kind of ironic - the inhaler speeds me up, but Trileptal calms me down.

hi joef-
I have chronic asthma and take Ativan. I've taken benzos for years. At super high does, benzos exacerbate my breathing, but at "regular" doses (I take up to 4mg of Ativan daily), my lungs are fine.
Remember, though, that benzos depress the cns, so they can make it harder to breathe.
