Currently taking: 1200mgs/Trileptal (600 AM, 600 PM) and 20mgs/Abilify and up to 300mgs Neurontin (100mgs up to 3x daily).
Can I ask my doc to add in Lamictal? I'd prefer that to an antidepressant any day of the week. Any dosage adjustments or anything? Will my brain rot out from too many anti-convulsants?
Thanks!

i take 400mgs of lamictal.....it causes you to be a bit spaced out, also no agitation, it is good antidperessant add on....but it may blunt the electrical firing with the trileptal causing you not to get excited, and reduce electrical voltage, meaning the mind is put on a limit of how much electricty is released or tranmitted....
i'm spaced out on lamictal, but its not bad because it makes me more less irrttible

It will increase your Lamictal levels in your blood significantly with a reaction to your oxcarbamazine.
"The possibility of an increase in serum CBZ-E concentrations needs to be considered if toxicity symptoms develop when LTG is added to CBZ therapy."

Have you tried rilutek? View this article: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2587133/#!po=30.9524
Check out Table 3 of this very informative article, it shares a lot of similarities with lamotrigine. It would add Q-type Ca2+ channel blockade to your LTG therapy. Be careful if you don't have insurance, this medicine primarily for ALS costs $2700 at my pharmacy.
Unfortunately, I don't have any person anecdotes, but I will be trying it soon. It looks like a good medicine for both us.

Good strategy. I don't thinkk you'll need to adjust the dose on anything.
