i may ask my doctor about topamax, she was going to add it for hunger suppression and would be an add on the lamictal for mood swings, the thing is im on 3 mood medications, and i don't want to be a person who operates on psychiatric medication, i was pulled off stimulants, and was put on large amounts of mood stabilzers to calm the hyperactity, but its actually nice, because i am calmed down, maybe not the stimulant effect but the Lamictal and Zyprexa shut down the over active hyper stuff....the zyprexa does cause sedation and low mood at times, but i have been having mood swings, do you think Topamax would be safe to add to Lamictal?? that is my story, i was pulled off main stimualnts, and was put on Lamictal and Zyprexa at diffrent times, and yes they have shut down hyperactity in the brain, if a doctor reads this they should consider this as an alternative to stimulant treatment with paticulary hyperactity.... Its nice.....i have to say, not euphoric, but not in the slump of gloom.....
anyone have a say so?

Lamictal made me super hyper. Not depressed, but certainly unstable. Didn't work for me.
Topamax helped me lose 30 lbs years ago (100mg a day), but it made me really stupid, which is why I think people call it Dopamax!
Good luck. It will kill your appetite for carbs & alcohol.
