Parnate side effects

Posted by tensor on September 2, 2013, at 6:45:01

Have been taking Parnate for a couple of weeks at 20mg and I have nausea and I'm cold all the time. My BP and temp seem to be normal. Will this pass? Anything I can do to lessen the s/e?

I have been on parnate since may of this year, and I still have nausea, and also slightly cold feeling.
But it has cured my depression, so I put up with the
side effects. Currently taking 30 mg, all in one go, in the morning. I also experience low energy.
Very different experience from nardil, which I was on for 20 yrs, and now realise made me as high as a kite.... But the nardil stopped working, and at least the parnate works on the terrible depression. Ill be interested to hear how you get on. I lowered the dose from 40 mg to 30 mg, and slightly scared to lower it any further for now.

You say your BP is normal, but what is it and what is it normally without Parnate?

Feeling cold during parnate is usually a sign of hypotension (low BP). Do you feel light headed when standing quickly? How about blocking of the ears (temp loss of hearing) or ringing?
