are these basically the same drug...or is trileptal less toxic and can yield same results...tegretol lowers many meds ...was wondering if trileptal does the same

Trileptal is a cleaner med with one less oxygen molecule than tegretol. What this means I don't know. I did take 150mg of trileptal low dose and noticed nothing but at the time new & expensive so didn't raise the dose. Are you thinking of taking it? Phillipa

yes I currebtly take 600 of tegretol ..but it lowers some of the medical and psych meds I also take...I believe it needs to be higher...that's why I was wondering if trileptals drug interactions are the same
