the fanapt doesnt help with anxiety at all...my doctor told me it will reduce my anxiety and help me think more clearly yet it is vary unnoticable...the anxiety and panic rushes that happen on a occastion are still there. You know, i've been thinking of movin to Seroquel XR...maybe that will cover some of the anxiety I have...zypreza is wonderful but it causes me to sleep alot...i was at 20mg, it cleared negative thought i have.....
i wished the older anti psychotics where in favor with my doctor but she only uses the ones that are advertised...going to Stelazine is going to be diffficult yet I'v read how it has got people through hard times...there was a poster River1924 that posted about it....he said during the worst anxiety periods...or things in life that cause disturbance that it cleared it away...well i shouldnt be my own doctor...but I would love to give it a try....
Anyways...ill leave this open ended but I know there's not going to be alot of responses.

Seroquel is quite sedating, but its well worth a shot RJ
Whatever the doctor says about fanap should work, the fact is, it hasnt worked for you, so its time for a change.
Another option might be to add a dose of mirtazapine at bedtime (say 30mg) along with the Fanapt, if your doc was willing to consider that?

Stelazine can be a rough drug - tardive dkskensia is far more common with it than with the newer atypicals

Atypicals aren't so great for treating anxiety. You'd be better off using a Benzodiazapine like Klonopin or Xanax. There's also Lyrica, Gabitril and Gabapentin.
