derealization without depression

Posted by n_shrimpie on May 18, 2012, at 18:32:14

is it possible to suffer derealization without depression? I've been on ensam 12 mg for about 10 days and my depression is abating but the depersonalization (which is the worst part of it), numbness, and anhedonia remain. Valium cures it for a few hours, but i'm terrified of addiction, so i feel i'm in a lose/lose situation. the derealization is worse than the depression. It's torture, I lay in bed all day and try to sleep to escape it.

I vary well know this...i've been through it before, I don't know if I had it as long periods as 2 years but you have realize that this a condition that can be caused from trauma or anxiety, but it also can be a disorder that has no causes. Just know that you are in the real world, try your best to bring yourself back to reality. Think of this derealization as an illusion its causing you to feel you have no connection with reality, its not actually reality itself. .its kinda like having one of those dreams where your trying to wake uo but your stuck in the dream world. You have use mental force to get out of it. But listen, seriously ask about Tranxene it is long acting benzo that may vary well treat this condition.
