I've read about folate boosting the effect of antidepressants, and have decided to give it a go.
I have always taken a multivitamin that provides 800mcg of folate a day, along with highish doses of other vitamins and minerals, but decided to give extra a try. I brought 100 x 5mg folic acid tabs at the pharmacy (for the princely sum of $3.50) and am giving them a go, at a dose of 1 tablet per day. Thought I'd try them for 3 months (thats how long the bottle will last) and see whats happening at the end of that time.
