hello i am on seroquel xr 600mg my doctor says i am in the bipolar spectrum. what would be a good med to replace the seroquel it gives me weight gain and heavy morning sedation .any body been down this road or have any ideas?

I take Abilify, 30mgs. I gained weight but there's no sedation for most people. If you cross over, you might need a sedative of some sort for a couple weeks.

Carbamazepine (Tegretol) is a good mood stabaliser that wont cause weight gain. It doesnt have the sedative effect of seroquel though.
Perphenazine is unlikely to cause weight gain, and is a potent mood stabaliser and tranquiliser.
