I am presently taking:
750mg lithium carbonate
300mg buproprion/wellbutrin(in 2 doses)
25mcg synthroid
20 mg fluoxetine (prozac)
15mg zolpidem(ambien)
1mg lorazepamThe prozac and wellbutrin are new additions and I'm on week 3.
I have serious word retrieval problems and it's getting freaky. I am feeding meanings into the computer to retrieve words.
Is there a likely culprit?
This is really getting out of hand.

All of them except probably the synthroid. With that many powerful mind altering substances mixed together there is no way to predict any sort of outcome, good or bad. Least guilty in my mind, just a guess, would be the prozac.
And of course it needs to be considered that the problem is not med related at all, but rather a clue to the actual underlying problem that has been misdiagnosed as primarily psychiatric, when the psychiatric stuff could just be the more visible outward signs of something else. I'm just saying I don't think it would be right to rule the possibility out. If that were the case, those kinds of meds would predictably worsen the situation rather than improve it.
This is the end of the thread.
