Hello,
When I went to refill my generic Lithium ER this week at Walgreens they informed me they switched brands. Turns out they're now stocking a new generic from "Glenmark" instead of the Roxio brand they've had since I've been taking it. From a search it seem Glenmark only received FDA approval to market Lithium this year.
I've didn't think this switch would be an issue but I've been on the new generic for 4 days now and each night I wake up often to use the bathroom and have terrible urinary retention. Before this switch I was having problems with frequent urination at night but never had any urinary retention. Then cause I can think of is the new Lithium ER.
Has anyone else been switched over to this new generic? If so can you please state your experience good or bad?
I'm only taking 600mg as an adjunct to my other meds so I may just end up making this the time to talk to my doc about reducing or coming off it.
