I couldn't tell you. It was not much of a problem for me as long as I took it at night. I was more sensitive to antihistamine sedation before I was taking other meds, but with my other meds it gets canceled out somehow.

All of the following answers apply:

1. Some people never get over the drowsiness.
2. Drowsiness usually starts to abate within a week and could be a non-issue in several weeks or couple months.
3. Higher doses above 30mg are supposedly less drowsy but not always.

So basically you'll have to stay the course to see how it goes. Generally speaking you could reasonably expect drowsiness to diminish as weeks and months go by, and you can reasonably expect drowsiness to diminish at higher doses....but with some people the drowsiness remains a constant problem that never goes away.

If you are hoping for drowsiness to disappear in a few days or a week or two, I don't think that will happen.

I was on remeron for almost a year in combination with prozac. The initial heavy drowsiness was gone in maybe 3 weeks, but the morning hangover/groggy thing was there every day the entire year and usually wore off about mid morning.

Just never got dozzy or tired on remeron l5mg. Was rx'd for sleep with benzoss but after a month just stopped it. In all honesty it just didn't do a thing for me. Philipa

The drowsiness doesn't go away.

I was always tired when I was on Remeron.

I'm still on Remeron, but now I take Wellbutrin in the daytime.

I'm not tired anymore.
