I have a family history of heart problems (almost everyone in my family over the age of 40 has a cardiologist). My mother has severe atrial fib and I worry about my future heart issues.
I try to take care of myself (work out, am losing weight etc.)
But now I worry about the years I took Seroquel and now Geodon. After I take my Geodon I do have heart palps.
Now that I am taking a small dose of Prozac I feel very calm and laid back.
I am seriously considering tapering off Geodon (due to the future heart issues) and staying on 2mg of Klonopin.
Should I be worried about future heart issues with Geodon, considering my whole family has heart problems?
Scared.

I'm assuming heart problems are a side effect of geodon? I know your frustration as I asked a different question of my pdoc said that now that nsaids and tylenol as known to cause cardiac and strokes what do you take for pain. Her answer get cholesterol checked. So I guess it's a matter of in your own mind weighing risks vs what's helpful for you and how you feel both emotionally and physically about the issue. Phillipa
