Hi Tepi,
This is my first month on Lyrica, ostensibly for pain. I haven't noticed any sides at 75mg x 3 daily. Pain is only moderately down, but anxiety is way down. I might hope for some mood stability, too, for cptsd.
It brightens my mood.
Sorry I cannot compare it to neurontin for you.
Are you considering it for mood
stabilization?fb

Yeah lyrica is definitely good for mood lifting, whereas neurontin is a safer bet for a semi-good mood stabilizer. IMO you're less likely to become manic on neurontin.
Lyrica was a great drug, but the drawback to that drug is it makes you a little energetic, so much so that you forget what's going on. It's harder to get off of than neurontin IMO, and you hafta consistently take it twice a day instead of neurontin, which you can get by with just taking it once.

rogerk,
May I ask what you are taking it for? Is it still working for you?
My experience is a little different. I haven't been concerned about mania or hypomania, so that hasn't happened, and dear gosh, anything that brightens my mood is miraculous.
Energetic. Yes, I can see that in myself because I feel better. But I don't forget what I'm doing any more than usual :) My xanax use is down, and I haven't needed a sleep aide. Still, it's not as good as cymbalta for my pain.
Could one withdraw from Lyrica by transferring to neurontin first?
