How to approach an Addiction specialist

Posted by rjlockhart04-08 on November 24, 2010, at 23:15:20

I have a very DIFFICUT doctor that will not go down any road. She thinks my meds are fine and will not change anything. There, what ever I wrote before was invalid, and I aplogize if anyone had to read my rantings....and wasted there energy on them.

How exactly do I come across this doctor, to tell her seriously we need to do something and not do nothing like most of the time is done.

See she is a EXPERT on addiction, and will not move her chess checkmates or whatever you call it. See compared to the other doctors I've had, she is the most stubborn person im stumped with, the other doctors where generous and made changes frequently, and had no problem with moving around with medications. This woman is STUBBORN!! She's a misery doctor.

Now how ... do I come across to her about moving on to another medication because she mounts on what ever medication she thinks is best, not my suggestions. And maybe that is where im wrong, I patient shouldnt havet to ask about a certain medication but I did it with previous doctors and they had no problem with following along with it.

What should I do?

I think you need a new doctor, personally.
