Here in Britain there is a company called Neuro Lab (based in Dorset) who claim they can analyse blood and urine samples for neurotransmitters, neuro-chemicals and neurotoxins and then provide treatment/therapy advice for conditions including depression, anxiety, autism, behavioural problems, sleeping problems... etc. The websites are:

http://www.neuro-lab.com/I would guess there are labs in the US that also offer a similar service for a fee. Has anybody ever tried such a lab?? Are they really that effective in finding successful treatments?

Blood and urine samples are simply not an acurate way to test the functionality of a particular neurotransmitter system in the brain.

This statement on the Home page alone makes me wary. The lack of medical accuracy and professionalism would scare me away from this web site.
"In the late 1970s she was one of the principles in a joint eastern bloc project that utilised Lactobacillius Bulgaricus as an extremely successful product in treating cancer patients. This achievement did not go unnoticed and the project was acquired by a third party for personal gain but it eventually disappeared although that is another story!"
Lactobacillius Bulgaaricus is the bacteria found in Yogurt. A cure for Cancer? "It eventually disappeared because the project was acquired by a 3rd party for personal gain?" "although that is another story" hummmm
This is the end of the thread.
