Wellbutrin works well for me. Right now I'm taking WellbutrinXL 150mg daily with 10mg Celexa (cut back from 20mg). Originally I was on Celexa which caused anxiety but helped with depression and pdoc added wellbutrin because of lack of motivation, energy etc. The Wellbutrin worked well from the start but didn't help with anxiety (didn't think it would) and I'm thinking that because Celexa always caused me anxiety...that I should stop the Celexa (taper of course). My pdoc thinks I should be on an SSRI with Wellbutrin....so which SSRI would help most with anxiety with the Wellbutrin. I've read about Luvox, does anyone have any other suggestions? I do take lorazepam (1mg nightly and prn during the day). Thanks for any advice.

Luvox with benzos no anxiety. Still on low dose after ll years. Afraid to go higher as then I'll be stuck at a higher dose? Phillipa

Just 50mg but before I started 50 was fine on 25mg. Hence don't want to increase. Phillipa. Didn't you also take emsam at one time? I seem to remember that stopped working?

No, I never took Emsam. I was on Prozac for many years until it stopped working. Tried Celexa for 8 months on its own and even though it did help a bit for depression it didn't help with anxiety so my pdoc added Wellbutrin and it definitely helps with depression (motivation, energy, etc.) but doesn't help anxiety. So I'm looking for an SSRI that will be more calming and help the anxiety side effect of the Wellbutrin.
